A new state park for Palo Pinto County, Texas Seems as though the state has an unfair advantage over small Mom and Pop RV parks and recreational facilities, so is the role of state government to compete with private sector parks? Should valuable ranch land be taken away from productive ranchers? Private sector owners are good stewards of the land where sometimes the state hasn't been, so don't we have enough parks? Or, are we collectively doing the right thing by opening these wildlife areas to the public? Should we believe the state will preserve this land where private owners can or won't take care of it? What do you think? The Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce was invited to tour the new state park site in Strawn, Texas and here are some their pictures:
